I have captured most of my movies using divx 5.1 codec, great quality when i use bitrate average settings of 6000 kbps.
have never tried picvideo m-jpeg before, and have heard quiet good response from the users.
But could anyone tell me the best settings for capturing my movies?
am using Picvideo M-Jpeg V3 trial right now.
thanks folks.

Set the quality setting to 19, press "apply" and you're done. Also, buy the codec, you don't want to have your footage branded.

It's a simple quality/file size trade off... the higher the number is, the better the quality is, the lower the number is, the smaller the file is.... You decide what's more important!

the "fastest" setting in the rgb compression method is the 'best'
file sizes get smaller as you go down the list - then down the list in YUV (after you pick YUV in the rgb side)
i would say always select '...suggest rgb format for output' as many programs need this set to on .."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
