OK, all i want to do is share my printer with my wifes computer and maybe some files. I have it set up as follows.

    Cable to modem
    Modem to router
    router to computers

Is this correct? I use the network set up wizard, and my main computer recongnizes the system , but my other doesn't. How do i know what my main one is anyway? I know nothing of networking, but if any one could help this poor shmoe.....please!

You need to run the network setup wizard on the other computer as well.

I did that too, using the disk it told me to create. BUt how do i allow access to both computers, and why can't my secondary cpu even log onto the network?

Assuming you did the same thing to both, they shoud be either in a domain or a workgroup.

Look in the network and see if both computers are there.

Then it would just be a matter of setting up file and printer sharing.

Are both computers running windows xp?
