  1. I'm shortly due to be putting a project on afew hundred dvd's which I want to use white dvd's for. So I ordered some blank inkjet printable dvd-r's to try (http://www.cclonline.com/product-info.asp?product_id=1805&category_id=223&manufacturer_id=0)

So I got them this morning and tried one out, it burned fine but when I put it in my Playstation 2, it gave a rather strange couple of 'clunks' but then proceeded to play the dvd fine, upon ejecting, it made another strange clunk. I tried the DVD in the P.C (which it had been burned in) and it wouldn't even recognise it. I started thinking maybe its the different surface of the printable disk so tried putting an unwritten one in my Playstation and sure enough, it made the same 'clunk'. This has confused me now as I am thinking that inkjet printable disks are unreliable yet after searching on here and elsewhere, I've seen nothing of a similar topic. What could my problem be, I'm going to need to find out soon as the project needs to be completed in 1 1/2 weeks. Thanks.

I've used a few different inkjet printables, and I haven't had any problems at all. Sounds like the media to me. I've used fuji and prodiscf01s with no problems.

Would be helpful it you filled in your computer specs. what brand is your dvd burner? What software are you using to burn dvds? Nero?

I've used TAIYO YUDEN DVD-R 4x Printables without any problems. But then I haven't had to use it in a playstation.

    Humm,
    - A few hundreds in 1 1/2 weeks.

Nothing's smoother than night burning, yeah night burning is the real thing..

What media have you successfully burned with your burner/software?
I would use the same media, but white IJP. They all have a white IJP option either hub or non-hub. If you do not have time, you probably have to go with better media (TY).

Those are PIODATA, not the highest quality you can find. Look for Taiyo Yuden, Maxell, Prodisc, or Verbatim, since you are going to be using so many.

http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/acatalog/Inkjet_printable_DVD_R.html has TY, Prodisc, Verbatim, and TTG02, ijp media. See if they deliver to your area.

    Just one added note:
If you have many hundreds, like you said, there are plenty of company that will be pleased to take your project...
And they will be pressed, not burned.
