  1. im getting an error in dvdshrink that says I/O device error, cannot continue. this only happens when i tru to do a full disc back up - not when i reauthor, any ideas?

    When do you get the error? When you try to burn? If so, then use Shrink to create the files (or an ISO) and burn with something else.

    Or you could try selecting re-author and just keep everything.

    try opening the dvd with a program like powerdvd and let it run for a few secs then try again.

    or just rip the dvd with dvddecrypter then use shrink

    could also try to clean the disc

  4. i get the error after its analysed the disc and just after i press the back up button but before it burns for me. i currently use dvddecrypter to get round the problem but its kinda like goin round the houses to get the same result. whats more is its really annoying as it didnt used to do this. btw ive tried playing with powerdvd first- same result. ive also tried my other dvd burner with the same result....help!

    well try cleaning the disc or even the dvd rom lense.... but using decrypter your actually gonna get a little better results, so it isn't all for not

  6. Invest in DVD Region+CSS Free(download the trial version and test)Just run it in the background with shrink,You will never get that problem again.I had the same thing happening to me for a while and posted about it here.Like yourself i was going the marathon way round.
