My Laser Disc Player just went on the fritz. It's probably okay, but my 2yr old grabbed the tray and I think he offset the drawer gear so it's not closing properly.

The Favor I'm asking is, I'm trying to convert a LD copy of Nate & Hayes to DVDR for back up (especially in regards to such incidents my son has subjected me to). I'm willing to cover all shipping, handling, & media costs.

You can PM me or send you condolences to my LD Player below. Thanks.

*says a few words over the player*
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

    Did you kick his ass?

    Sorry... don't have a copy.

Now I know what my DVD player is about 7 feet off the ground and you have to reach up to drop a disc on the tray

I'd love to find someone here who can put a copy of Siege of Firebase Gloria LD onto DVD, assuming I can find a LD of it sometime.

I pansied out and got a new LD player. It's a Pioneer LD-4400 and can connect to my computer directly. Never used this style before, but we'll see how it works. I'll just put my old one in storage till I can figure out what's wrong.

We were also wondering why our VCR wasn't accepting tapes. 3 months later when I got a chance to look at it, I found an empty bottle of the travel size baby powder in the tape area. At least it wasn't baby oil, shampoo, or some food like oatmeal.

Hopefully this player works well, otherwise, I might still need someone to back my disc up for me. Player only cost me $48. funny that the original retail was almost $5000.

Looks like the kid has it down to a science. He can put baby powder in the VCR as well. Maybe we can give him a few truths and point him in the general direction of Washington D.C.
    Hello.
