I thought I'd heard that DVD-RWs were only good for 1000 writes. I know I've been using a box of 5 Fujifilm's for months, and haven't approached probably 200 each. Though one of them looks like some of the media near the edge has "evaporated" in a small enough trace that glitches show up in the playback. Anyone ever worn one out at 1000?

I have had a tdk 1x for nearly five years now, it has had well over a 1000 writes and is still going strong.

Mine are getting odd color bands, but it's from the way the discs are written. One time may go far or shorter length than last time, so you get rings on a DVD-RW.
So far, nothing bad has happened from it. Just looks goofy.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)
