First off what I want to do is to rip a DVD into Xvid, but keep 3d sound.
I have tried to read over the tutorials but i didn't see one which specifically talked about this, most converted to MP3, or OGG.
Can this be done, and if so what is the best program to do this?

3d sound ? you mean ac3 surround sound ? (that isnt 3d sound)
you just extract the ac3 from the dvd as a stream and mux it with your xvid with v-dub
make sure that you have extracted the same stream, from the same point as where you started to encode your xvid .."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
Sorry, wrong term. yes I mean AC3.
So basically I will need to convert only the video, rip only the AC3 audio. then mux it?
Is there a tool which will do all of this at once?
