pictures with sound?

is there a way to make an mpg out of jpgs as a slideshow? like i could have each picture stay on for 3 seconds or whatever, then once i got the mpg made, use tmpgenc to put sound behind it?

i read that guide, and thanks for posting it, but its not exactly what i was looking for. maybe i should be more detailed. what i want is for like one 3 or 4 min song play for the length of the mpg, but have the pictures change every few seconds during the mpg. is there a way to do that? i figure if i can do that, it would be possible to show many more pictures if there are a lot in each mpg file. that way you could have 99 slideshows theoretically

Hi,
U can create a vcd slideshow with your favourite background songs with whatever duration you want to specify.You can also add effects to your photos.The only thing is it converts to vcd slideshow to avi format.But then you can convert to mpg format by using TmpgEnc.This is a great tool.Above all it is free.The following is the Link.
