For some odd reaason, I am getting this error when i try to open anything with audio in it
"Bad DirectSound Driver: Please install proper drivers or select another device."
I am using the onboard sound card for my MB and up until last night, it worked fine. I turned off the pc and turned it on this morning and got that message. What gives?

You need to fill out your computer profile to give more info before anyone can help you.
What Operating system are you running? -
Try running system restore.
If that doesn't work, go to either windows update or the sound card manufacturers website to download a updated driver. -
There is no sound card manufacturer. Its onbaord. I am aat the msi site now and there are a few sections for drivers. i will assume i should be looking in the multimedia section, but i dont see anything for audio,
EDIT: Actually, i see on the mainboard page that the sound card manufacturer is RealTec. Would i search for the corresponding realtec drivers in google for XP and install those? -
