see how many you can get correct - it is tough for even people with good color skills as in some of the plates - you may only see a 3 instead of a 8 or a 7 instead of a 9 - for example ...

Got all of them right except plate 8
-
As a former Army helicopter pilot, I'm very familiar with that test. It is used to determine color perception. I actually have color deficiency (about 25% of men do, and find many of the plates difficult). This is not the same a color blindness. Color deficient people have trouble with subtle shading differences, but have no problem with identifying colors. Fortunately for me, the Army uses a secondary test called the Farnsworth lantern to determine if you can distinguish aviation red, green and white at distance in the dark. I always passed that one no problem. Electronics technicians must pass the color plate test, though (due to the vast array of different colored wires they run into). The Air Force and Navy also require their pilots to pass the color plates test. I think you are allowed to miss up to four of them to pass.
My 4-year old son got them all right, so I guess I didn't pass that problem on to him... -
yes - i should have said Color Deficient ..

For me, plate 9 was the hardest. -
Women generally have better color perception than men, that's true. Very few women fail the plates.

my wife only got 2 right .... her father was total color blind also (shades of gray only) , which is very rare I understand...

That rate of deficiency in men may be less than 25% (maybe 20%, I can't exactly remember anymore). You can still pass the test if you have mild deficiency and only miss a few plates, as I recall.

Yep, I missed #8 too. I thought it was a picture of a squirrel gathering his nuts.
Maybe I was taking the wrong test.

I got every one right too, but I had to look at #8 longer than the others. I also think some of it has to do with the way the numbers are formed, with odd angles and shapes, but I guess that's done to make it even harder. I even surprised myself that I got all correct, I expected to miss at least a couple.
Guess my old eyes aren't so bad after allEthernet (n): something used to catch the etherbunny -
got them all
8 and 9 i had to look closer
edit: i must admit 9 i took a guess at -
I got them all. What do I win?
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.
