    SVCD2DVD v2 Free/Demo version

As promised there is now a free/demo version of the latest v2 beta. It is a very much usable version with the following limits:

    - No batch processing.
    - No project/template saving or loading.
    - Watermark added to menus.
    - 2GB authoring limit.

Here are a few of the new things in v2:

    • AVI files can be used as assets. They will be encoded to FULL resolution DVD mpgs. Thus a 700MB avi will become a 3GB+ mpeg.
    • Nearly 60% faster than v1.5
    • AV sync is maintained. I.e. if your sources are in sync, so will be the DVD.
    • Optional PAL to NTSC conversion.
    • Can handle multi-stream audio mpegs
    • Can handle mpegs with AC3 audio
    • Mpegs are analysed on the fly to give info about the files
    • Easier visualisation of the DVD structure
    • Title Preview (individual mpegs)
    • Integrated Menu designer:
    • o Numerous alignment options
o Different fonts for different buttons
o Menus with audio (AC3, MP3, MPEG Audio)
      o Play all facility.
      o Menu Preview
o Use AC3 audio silence or Mpeg-Audio silence for menus with no audio (this is beneficial to US/NTSC users)
    • Integrated DVD burning if Nero 6 is installed.
    • Set defaults for your menu audio/background and other processing options

Note: This is a .Net framework 1.1 application so you need that installed to be able to install SVCD2DVD v2.

  2. Awesome.

Did an avi to dvd and the quality was very good. Conversion was quick too.

Then I did a DVD with 2 x 800MB SVCD mpgs on it. After I clicked "start" the DVD was burning 7 minutes later!!

    Thanks for the program.

I have made a small internal fix. It resolves a potential runaway processing issue and an issue with the duration of the menu audio. Also if the program never started up previously - that is fixed too.

    Please update by redownloading.

Also for those who need them - here are the menu backgrouds from v1.52:
