I encoded a bunch of files to dvd using Tmpgenc and for some reason when I watched it on my dvd player it was outta sync, but when I watched the files on my hdd and dvd drive it was good.. I used tmpgenc dvd author to author it umm... any ideas ?

Yes. Never use your PC to gauge AV sync durring playback. Hardware variables exist in that realm that are simply not present in standalone players.

Open your source files in VirtualDubMod and pull up the file info. Compare stream lengths. Rip the audio and remux offsetting the difference with a delay. Start testing with using the difference between the two streams as your delay, positive or negative, depending on which stream is ahead of the other.
