just donated and tried on the latest version (not the betas) of svcd2dvd and i've noticed that on my downstairs jvc home recorder the sound becomes really bad at about the 30 min mark but it seems ok on both my pioneers upstairs.normally i would have simply recoded a svcd using main concept encoder and iso buster without any trouble.is this a widely known problem or is it a compatibility problem with jvc?

you could disable ffmpeg in the options to see if that improves your audio.
SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.
VOB2MPG PRO, Extract mpegs from your DVDs - with you in control! -
that was the first thing i tried before making this post.hopefully its just a problem with the jvc as i really like this program and makes work a lot easier and quicker
