  1. how do i compress an mpeg file to an avi file?actually what im after is this.i have a 700 mb file that i wanna convert so that it wont take up too much space on my hd.can i convert that to 200mb instead?

    -using 3.11 low motion Mpeg4 (DivX) and a bitrate calc.

    Enter size [200mb] into calculator that will give you a very close estimate for the bitrate to use in the encoding process to Mpeg4 (DivX)

    I assume this is the *.AVI you are speaking of.

  4. i cant seem to get the size of the compresion right.i am just not very sure how to calculate it.is there a formulato use?
