I mean really how HARD is it to understand that these are the 2 kings of media?

It's been that way since almost day one yet people still want to **** around with Ritek this or Prodisc that or MCC or ... whatever.

I never disputed or said anything about TY or Maxwell and yes Im aware that those are first class media (I have Maxwell MXLRG02 disc and Taiyo Yuden). And what's wrong with MCC Mitsubishi Chemical (which are still considered as first class media). And getting first class media for .29cents is a bad thing?

Here's one reason, I use a lot of blank DVDs for my store, and anything below .30 will give me some profit , and anything above will result in a loss , in between means that I work for free . So, yeah I think it's Ok to mess around to find the right media for the right purpose.

Then you are doing something wrong because I was making money back in the day when a DVD-R cost me $3.49 per disc.

I'd put MCC below TY and Maxell (especially for 8x) but it's still better than Ritek, Prodisc, CMC, etc. I think it belongs in its own tier right below TY/Maxell but above the rest.
