DVD-RW to DVD-R

I have a new Sony RDR-GX7 and I am just learning to use it. I have searched the forums but could not find a clear answer to this question. I have a DVD-RW onto which I have recorded various clips from TV. Can I transfer those clips to my PC using my DVD drive , create menus, and then transfer to DVD-R media? I have a few tools on my PC including Nero, TMPGenc Plus, and others. Thanks from someone who is very new at this. I want to share the DVD s with family who are not able to read DVD-RW format.

Thanks. I just ran a test using tmpgenc dvd and it does seem to do the job. I appreciate the info and the link.

Just updated my version of Nero and imported from the DVD-RW then created a DVD-R with custom menu. It worked great. Here is a screenshot......
