Indolikaa for Moderator

Yes folks,

he said goodbye but all is not lost.

Indolikaa had expressed interest
in being a Moderator and I'm sure he'd be a good one.
What do you think? By making him a Mod he would have to stay.

Baldrick has stated that Indolikaa is first on the
list but may appoint him early if there is
general support.

I want to retire as a Mod so the present number
of Moderators is not an issue.

I would truly hate to see you go. You've been an excellent moderator and I hope the bashing by a few users have not driven you to step down. It is a very difficult job and one should never cast stones unless they've done it.

I too think that Indo would make an excellent moderator. When things get a little crazy, he has always been the voice of reason. Although I will miss his "Specials".

I agree with VCDhunter, although I would have worded it slightly differently

I don't think campaining for mod positions in the forum is a particularly good thing.

Ultimately the decision is Baldricks, here is here enough to notice members who contribute to the forums and decide who would make good moderators.

Not once has Indolikaa campaigned for anything. I was the one
to ask him if he was interested some time back. He said
goodbye because of other issues - not because he did
not get what he did not ask for in the 1st place.

He's a fantastic member here but I have to say that if this happens what's to stop other familiars from trying the same thing. Granted many of them we won't even notice leaving but with seeing all these people with their dramatic/epic goodbye posts...

I also agree that I don't like seeing campaigning for mods. The other mods and the boss man are here enough to see who would make a fitting mod. For the most part they've made good choices *cough*cap*/cough*

I'm sure Baldrick would make a wise decision in his choice for the site mods.

Voting and playing favorites has proven to lead to jealously and trouble though...and is somewhat politics in itself.


I think Indolikaa is a great guy, adds much to the forums and it is sad to see him leave, as it is to see most regulars leave.
I'd rather not see anyone leave - by choice or being forced.

I even hate to see Jeex banned.

Maintain balance by not visiting the site so often but leaving altogether doesn't really seem necessary (unless you can't afford to pay your IP :P )


I think if it were up to me, I'd say someone like lordsmurf or vhelp, or someone who is both dedicated to the site (a veteran) and somewhat more advanced in the technological aspects of what this site is really supposed to be here for - video help.

It just makes more sense to me.


But that is just my humble opinion...and I don't mean to offend anyone by it.



Indolikaa, I respect your decision to leave or stay, and wish you the best no matter what.
If your choice is for health reasons - your health is far more important and I wish you well.
