    Hello,

So it seems like Pierce Bronsan isn't coming back as Bond

    Is this true?????

If it is who should be the next Bond?????

    I'd like seeing Hugh Jackman...

That'd be fun - Wolverine as BOND!

    Kevin

---Actually, Ewan McGregor wouldn't be too bad either - May the Force... Er... Shaken not stirred ---
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

  2. Farrell by a mile. All the others suck - inc bronsan - with the exception of tgpo who blows :P

Hugh Jackman. Sean Connery is the only real James Bond, but if I had to choose the next one, in spite of my objections, Jackman's the man.

    Why?

    Collin Farrell - not believable
Jude Law - Out of his element, but he'd be my third choice
    Colin Firth - Um, no.
    Ewan McGregor - Ghey
Pierce Brosnan - Almost flamingly ghey
tgpo - My second choice after Jackman.

  7. Brosnan is tipping Farrell for the role.

I'm getting pretty sick of Farrell. He looks so out of place in the trailers for Arthur, very bad choice in my opinion. And he's has to much of a "cutting edge" look to be bond. He needs to be more classic and suave.

I really don't like any of the choices in this poll, so I guess I'd stick with Brosnan. Bond just isn't as fun as it used to be.

A BLACK bond? I'm not prejudiced by a long shot but that would be a hard sell. You can't change the race of a recurring character, and when I think of a British spy I picture a white guy.

Movie moguls thought they found the perfect actor to be the new James Bond. Unfortunately he has some problems with his driving skills, and his concentration.....

    Hello,

He could always get a toupe!

I think the Shatner Turbo 2000 model would look very flattering on him!

That's as bad an idea as what happened with the WILD WILD WEST movie!

  16. James Bond movies are all about the women - at least they were...I haven't seen a Bond movie in years.

I just recently saw Intermission with Collin Farrell...with every other word being F@#K, I can't see Collin Farrell playing James Bond

Brosnan come back I would have to go with

Anyway you have to be 6ft 1 minimum so count out ewan ,jude , and Farrell

    2. must be from the united kingdom (aussie lazenby was a mistake) meaning irish scots welsh pom , count out jackman cant have another ocker standing there saying make mine a 4x stirred not shaken , jackman could do it hes right height 6ft2 etc but gotta be english plus I doubt they could afford him after xmen and he wouldn’t sign up to a 3 movie deal

    leaves brosnan or firth

firth could do it but I suspect wouldnt want to be tied down to multiple films

my pick would be either Clive Owen (king Arthur and hitman in bourne identity ) and the one I think should play it Gerard Butler (Scottish , Timeline and Reign of Fire and tomb raider 2)

both are 6ft2 , my pick Butler , one he would be cheap as not big name , two he wouldn’t have any pressure , and three they could sign him to two or three without problems

funny the original books have him listed as 6ft1 and 78kg which fleming consider big in the 60’s when he wrote it lol

  18. Jackman has come out and said he wants the role so I am guessing that he'd sign up for a multi-picture deal.

Accents don't mean much these days. With the number of American actors playing English characters I don't see as much of stretch for an Aussie to play a Brit.
    Quote Quote
  19. a lot of Aussies have played American and English roles

Tgpo is the only American listed

Pierce Brosnan is Irish...so is Colin Farrell
    Ewan McGregor is Scottish
    Hugh Jackman is an Aussie
    Jude Law is English

As long as the actor can draw a big audience...that's all the producers care about.

Good idea, but the Bond franchise is losing money so they
have to come up with something new to bring back the crowds.

    Hello,

I thought they always lost money??? Didn't they say in some documentary that even back in the early bonds they would spend more then they had hoping to make it back in the next movie???

    Hello,

Yeah but the villians have been appropriate the last few movies.

The Korean issue in Die Another Day. A terrorist stealing a nuke in World is Not Enough. A media mogul going nuts with power in Tomorrow Never Dies.

It's been pretty current with each movie.

I know weaponizing has dropped off dramatically at my work since the fall of the Soviet Union

I long for the good old days when we had an arms race going on ...keeping us in plenty of funding Job security was great back then too
