    I'm looking to turn newly bought 160GB HDD into an external drive. Where can I find external cases, and what are some good ones.

    Ditto. I have one (about $35) drives seem to run cool and has a fan that can be switched on and off. All-in-all a very good unit.

    I have 3 of these and they work great!!!

    I need USB on some computers and firewire on others so these thing solve it.

    The older ones have a separate power supply but the new ones are built-in.

    I haven't had any problems. (I am using Windows 2000).
