  1. Has anyone had problems of making backups of their backups? I just tried it on one of my That 70's Show DVDs, and it didn't work. I made the first backup without a problem, but then when I tried making a backup of the backup, it fails. I tried both doing a straight burn of the files to a DVDR with Nero and I got an error around 80% (This happened twice). I then tried using Instant Copy (the same program that I used to compress the first backup) because I thought Nero was having a problem. But as soon as I started the process I got a window saying "The System cannot find the file specified (80070002). So I figured it was just that DVD, so I ripped another of my T7S DVDs and I am getting the same thing. Does anyone know what's going on?

Can you rip it to your HD ?

What method/programs did you use when creating the "original" backup ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

Try ripping the first backup with DVDShrink, then use Nero to burn.

It sounds like you're trying to copy encrypted files. DVDShrink will let you do that.

I have found DVDDecrypter ISO Read/ISO Write to be the most effective/fastest way to copy backups.
    If in doubt, Google it.

If you can't copy a copy... then the uncopyable copy was copied wrong.

In other words, there's nothing about a copy that prevents it from being copied, unless the burn goes bad, or the reader can't read it, etc.

  9. Yeah, that is weird. I've made a backup of a backup of a few movies to take with me on an airplane and watch in my portable. All I've ever had to do was use Nero and do a Copy Disc. It's worked every time. Maybe there are particular instances or reasons why it wouldn't work?
