I'm pretty happy with it. It does decent (to me anyway, although I have nothing to compare it to) HW encoding. But I can't help thinking that with the advance of technology since this card came out, a Canopus with similar HW codec capabilty may be significantly better. Purely from a HW codec performance POV is there any reason to stop using the 2000?
But more importantly, as the 2000 (when not using the onboard hardware) is essentially just a Bt878 (am I right in that assumption? or is it still somehow better than a $50 Leadtek?), does it even make sense to use the HW codecs, when many believe that a RAW or HuffYUV (with software post-processing) can rival or exceed HW codecs?
I know I've posted somewhat similar threads recently, but I ask for everyone's patience. I don't think I had quite the right concern expressed in my other posts.
