ive bought a new hard drive and it appears in the devices pages, but not in my computer, how do i get it to appear in there? thnx

plz can u tell me how to get it to appear, it appears in the bios and in the device list but no where else -

You have to partition and format the drive for it to appear. But I dont really have the exact steps or that specific OS in front of me right now. -

AAAHHH! I can't get the direct link to work, that part of the site must be down or something. Sorry I can't get you a direct link. Just to to the docs section, scroll down the the bottom, and there are a list of parition managers (Yes this is a linux site but the partition managers are for windows). -

START | CONTROL PANEL | ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS | COMPUTER MANAGEMENT | DISK MANAGMENT ...
Find the newly added disk in the bottom right-hand scroll box. Right-click on the disk and select PARTITION and then FORMAT.
