Where's the option for none ?
Buddha says that, while he may show you the way, only you can truly save yourself, proving once and for all that he's a lazy, fat bastard. -
I had cable internet at one time, but now I have dsl.
I am waiting on fibreoptic internet.
It will have speeds of 5 megabits per second for the same amount of money I am spending now. -

Cable modem - 128K upload, 1.5 Mbps download. It's no T1 like at work, but it's adequate
I can get my videohelp fix and download livestock pron at the same time
-
512Kbps DSL. Used to be 1.5Mbps Cable before I moved.
I do most of my browsing at uni on a T3 connection and a microwave link. -
Dial Up - 56k
Don't spend as much time online these days...so no biggie.
They've only just started offering cable connections in my area...which I'll consider but don't think I'll get that much use out of. -
Dialup at home because of lack of options that do not cost a million dollars.
Average connect between 50 and 53k. (Bless those actual hardware modems) -

There is a wireless place near me that has a good rep but they ar to far away and keep saying they are gonna put an antenna up in town in "3 to 6 months" and every 3 to 6 months they say the same thing.... I've stopped holding my breath. -
Cable. Around 1.2 megabytes (not megabits) a second download
and approx 16 kilobytes (not kilobits) per second upload.
-edit-
Sorry. This equates to just over 10mbit down / 128 kbit up.
I pay $60 AUS per month, $500 setup/modem fee and
and use around 20 gig on average per month. -
DSL, 8 mbit down and 800kbit up. But sooon 10mbit up and down for only $35/month!!!!!

Cox cable, presently at 3489/445 kbps.(436KB/sec) Varies by the minute, one of the drawbacks of cable.
I use a dialup at my office, really hard to endure the waiting. I was thinking of setting up a phone link to my house and using the cable connection remotely. Tried this one time before with good results.
Only problems I ran into was temporarily disabling my answering machine. I use netzero at my office, so $9.95US a month, can't really complain about the speed. -

And I also have dialup. For $5/month there is no way I'd upgrade to something expensive. I use All2ez.net and recommend it!
