  1. Hi, guys, I wonder if you can help me out here, Iīve just bought an Asus TV FM card (it says Asus Silicon WDM Video Capture Card in the device manager) for my computer:

    My machineīs specs:
    NVidia GeForce FX 5700 LE
    Asus P4P800 motherboard
    1.5 Gb Ram
    2.4 GHz Processor

Iīve installed the Asus Home Theatre program so I can tune and watch things from the television on my computer.

Unfortunatelly, I have image but no sound at all.
Do you have any ideas of what I may be doing wrong?
Iīd really appreciate any help you can give me, this is my second attempt to get into the world of video capture, after failing miserably with my Pinnacle PCTV.

Any help would be greatyl appreciated.

    E.

usually on any card you have to connect a 3.5 jack into your line in. make sure the volume is up on your line in. and if its only when u capture make sure line in is the one checked under record from. this is all under control panel>>>sounds and audio devices

  3. Hi, Glockjs,

thanks for the repply, I have to confess Iīm really an absolute newbie in this world of TV capture.

In the back of the computer, the card has only have 3 ports, one FM-in port for FM radio, one Video-In&Audio-In port for camcorders and VCR and one TV-in for capturing from a TV.

I really donīt know what is going wrong, iI should be able to just connect the cable TV to the TV-in port like it says in the back of the box and start receiving the sound together with the image, not just the image....

if there's no audio out plug you might not need to hook it back into the computer....i would look through the control panel>>>sounds and audio devices and make sure the volumes are turned up. that the most common place to start with this type of thing.
