    This question (and poll) is only to people who do it!

    Ive been always wondering where do they come from, and most importantly - why they willingly overpay for lousy quality compressed music instead of buying a CD and making mp3s by themselves?

    Hello,

    I voted for the 1-2 songs out of an album selection.

    Actually I go to Itunes (even though I'm Windows) just once a month if that. I do it to buy some singles when I don't want to buy the whole cd.

    Most of the time if I want a groups song I'll buy the album because I like the group. If not I just buy the single.

    9 times out of 10 I maybe buy 3 songs off a CD with a few exceptions.

    Also its nice to be at work and say "wow I wanna hear that song" and I can download it.

    Believe it or not - I haven't bought any mp3 in my life, and Im not going to do it ever
    Dont take me wrong - I do buy alot of CDs (at last count I had 2000+ original albums), but IMO it is sheer rip-off to pay for music in a *worse* quality format than if you'd record it yourself of off good radio broadcast! (not mentioning high quality sat feeds or digital broadcasts)
