Being a New Yorker, I guess I am happy that I don't follow baseball AT ALL. That's all people were talking about around here but I don't really care.

You're not supposed to care when your home team get bounced. That's what a fan is.
    Hello.

Hmm... The Yankees will have to go out and buy some more players I guess. I think they hold the record for dollars spent to build a premium club. I guess not enough

They should do it the same way Florida did in 1997

I'm ecstatic that the Red Sox won the Al pennant. I've been pulling for them to null the curse for years. Being a Cub fan our two teams have a lot in common: Fenway is the oldest park in baseball, Wrigley is second oldest. The Cubs have the longest dry spell since a WS win (1908) and the Red Sox the second longest I think (1918?). And both teams have supposedly been cursed - the Billygoat Curse (Cubs) and the Bambino Curse (Bosox).

I think it'll be the Cards against the Red Sox and I hope Boston tears 'em a new one. GOOOOO RED SOX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The legend said that Boston would be cursed and never win another World Series for trading Babe Ruth. So the curse hasn't been lifted yet !!!

I didn't say they had. I said I've been hoping they would nullify it for years. But I'm hoping they go all the way. Why? Because if they can do it, so can the Cubs.

Wait ...did I just say that? I take that back. They are the Cubs after all :P They were supposed to win it all this year with their pitching staff coupled with that awesome lineup.

So what happens in reality? Sosa rediscovers the reason the White Sox traded him to the Cubs (swinging at anything headed in the right general direction), misses a month because he sneezed so hard he threw his back out, batted .250, and is getting paid a gazillion dollars a year. Patterson finds that he can hit by just making contact, and yet still keeps striking out in clutch situations. Maddux insists Dusty keep Bako(catcher) as his private bitch behind the plate, and this guy is clueless in hitting and throwing to second, even though they've got a really good catcher already ...who can hit.

I'm designing a new logo for the Cubs so they can replace the cute cubby bear - A hand wrapped around a penis

While it may be a topic of discussion here, I doubt it will be a hit in the mainstream public.
