Ignore the following, my bad - the red line is always there, not related.
OK - I don't understand this at all. In Premiere, adding any video effects (in this case, Color Balance (HLS) and Brightness & Contrast) to a video adds a red line above it on the timeline and when exporting, this part is simply skipped.
I don't understand it all... any ideas?

Red line means rendering required.
You've changed the nature of the original material, therefore requiring rendering before export.
Simply hit your Enter Key, and rendering will take placed..You'll see a green line after..
Then Exportf

LOL well that certainly does make a lot of sense
I would have expected a warning about this before exporting however, and I could have sworn something like this worked before with no rendering. Odd...
