    I love this part best.

According to Secunia, an independent security monitoring organization, Firefox currently has 1 open security issue, out of a total of 13 security advisories filed in 2003 and 2004. 0% of these are labeled "extremely critical", 15% are labeled "highly critical". For the same period, Secunia lists 16 open security issues out of 44 advisories for Internet Explorer 6.0, 14% of which are labeled "extremely critical", 34% are "highly critical".
But then if you use Firfox its likely popped up to tell ya already.

I'm not making a case for buggy IE but I can give you one reason, at least in my case. I make money fixing PC's and it helps to use the same products that 99% of my customers use. I have several machines so I suppose I could set up one up to "practice" on but it wouldn't be the same.

By the way, I love the straightforward terminology the industry uses. This bug is extremely critical but that one is just highly critical. I suupose from there we go to very critical, pretty critical, fairly critical, sorta critical, kinda critical, not too critical, etc.

Realistically, how many people know about Mozilla? Ive been using IE (which i hate) since ever and have only stated to use Mozilla Firefox for only a few days. The reason being i never even knew about it until someone mentioned it on this site.

Im sure there are countless numbers out there who haven't even heard of Mozilla.

IE is only popolur because it comes with your operating system as standard (as well as being Microsoft).

You must not read the newspaper or watch the news or surf newssites very much.

The news has been talking about firefox and holes in Internet Exploder for months.

I am now using Mozilla, I find that it is a little slower than IE. For ex. when I visit newegg.com the product pictures take about 5 secs to load, with IE it was instantly. I am using a DSL connection. 5 secs is not going to kill me but I was just wondering if it was slower for anyone else. Or could it be that I may have to change something in the settings.

Are you using firefox or regular mozilla? Firefox should be faster than IE because of its streamlined design.

Hi guys. You really have my interest on firefox/mozilla. I am now using IE but would like to try one of these. I am new at this so please be easy and patient with my questions. Do I have to remove IE before installing mozilla, if so how do I do it? How do I install mozilla and make it override IE? If I install mozilla and do not like it can I go back to IE, if so how do I do it? Thank you for your help and advice or if you can simply direct me to a website which will answer these questions that would be great. Thank you.
    Thank You,

    GolfNut

    No

How do I install mozilla and make it override IE?
Install it and it will ask if you want to make it the default browser and select yes.

If I install mozilla and do not like it can I go back to IE, if so how do I do it?
Just launch IE and it will ask if you want to make it the default. Tell it yes

    You are right.

You can use both, but one will want to be the default.

As bazooka stated one will be the default. You can have Mozilla as your default and go to Start-All Programs if you want to use IE.
