I need to ship a package from UK to USA. Who should I use, and how can I calculate the shipping rate? The item is 2.75kg, and 10 cm x 44 cm x 26 cm (VCR in a box). I want it to arrive within 3 weeks or so. Looking for best rate, any other info from those experienced in shipping from UK to USA.

  4. Parcelfarce maybe ? They do an International Standard Delivery for £37 for that weight, but I have no idea how quick that is - I couldn't even get a guesstimate from the website. How much is the VCR worth ?

    royalmail.co.uk have a shipping calculator.
I use it all the time to ship to my pal in Sebastopol, Ca although be warned, my pal used to rip his hair out at the (high) cost (compared to his parcels to me).

I've got a friend shipping it (the store will not ship overseas). He's finally gotten back to me. It looks like parcelforce will do it (Royal Mail apparently cannot take anythng more than 2000g), or DHL seems to have some decent rates too. UPS and Fedex are rape rates.

    Thanks!
