  1. I'm thinking of picking up one of these Primera Signature Z1 Thermal CD/DVD Printers. Has anyone had any experience with one of these? I'm not looking for anything fancy, that is why I chose this inexpensive printer just to put labels on my DVD's.

Being this is thermal ink, it will dry quickly and remain on the DVD, correct?

Thanks in advance for any help!

i think that is really a casio - or like it ..

it is really basic but does dry quickly .. if it is like the casio -- you can rub it off about the same or slighty harder than inkjet ..

I have this and the Casio. It is a night and day difference. The Primera is about 15 cents per disc with 4 sided printing. The Casio is 25 cents for one side. The DPI is only 200 for both units, but for text this is fine. The print is waterproof and ver scratch resistant. Much, much better than inkjet on both units.

    Get the Primera.

Primera sounds a lot better -- i have their duplicators and they are great ..

and yes -- thermal is waterproof . and inkjet is not .. though you can spray fixing agent on inkjet to protect it ..
