Perhaps there is a reauthor function that locks out user intervention on playback, like the FBI warning notice on commercial DVDs?

    Try a forum search here.

Did you try using the apps help index to look it up? Also, try e-mailing the author.

What do you use when you can FF and rewind?
What do you use to author?

Burning= writing data to a DVD or CD
Authoring=Preparing above mentioned data after a certain fashion, regulated by standards
Read up (some more, as using VirtualDub+TMPGEnc isn't the regular first choice) on some AVI to DVD guides left, and you'll see what I mean.

  6. Reading??!! It's so much easier to post a question, sit back, and wait for the replies. Some people even post the same question twice within a minute

Well, I thought, if you use TMPGEnc and VirtualDub, you must have read some, right?

you cant ff/rw on the set top im guessing your saying.. have you tried to on the computer using power dvd or something.. some DVD players (like my phillips) need to have the disk finalised.. when i use nero its defaulted to leave disk open.. i have to manially change it to close disk no further writing possible..

the only other time i have had an issue with video not ff/rw is when there are no key frames set.. or set improperly. look at re encoding with tmpg or something..
