  1. Hi all...

i have a damaged mpeg2 video, BUT windows media player can properly play it.

Every encoder/converter/authoring tool i've tried ended up with only two possible results:
    1) weird audio
    2) audio non-linear desync (hence, padding stream was ignored)

Now i wonder: is there any tool that can convert the mpeg2 stream using the same process that Windows Media Player uses to play the file?

    thanks for your help!

  2. Lod the file in tmpgenc and reencode it. Tmpgenc uses directshow by default (this is what wmp uses to play the file)

Anotehr alternative is use avisynth directshowsource function.

  3. ok, using GraphEdit seems to be the right solution...

but, still unable to complete the conversion:
i can properly render the file, but i can't find the right filters combination
that would allow me to solve the problema:

i can get only de-synced files or files with STILL padding inside.

    Any idea?
    thxs!
