    I know the 50 is PCI and the 100 is firewire. Other than that what are the differences? Why is the 100 $100 more? On the Canopus website, the comparison chart shows that they are basically the same.

    The ADVC-100 is bi-directional, the 50 isn't.

    The 100 can output back to analog (VHS for example), whereas the 50 and the 55 can't. The only difference
    If in doubt, Google it.
