  1. are there any apps out there that will do this? either that, or are there any apps that will take a vob set and give me elementary streams of the entire set in one file (ie. .m2v and .ac3)?

    the reason is that in order to use the ffmpeg engine, i need vob input, but i can't input an entire vob set at once, and i don't really think it's practical to encode 6 or 7 chunks of this video at a time and then merge them afterwards.
