hi,
i am considering buying the pioneer DVR-520H-S and taking it back home with me to australia. does anyone know whether the model sold in the USA can record from a PAL source? i know it only plays region 1 ntsc which is not an issue for me. but if it cannot records from a PAL source then it is of no use.
thanks in advance

Usually, a recorder will have an NTSC tuner in the US, and a PAL tuner in Europe.
I don't know about DVD recorders, but many TV-cards will only record NTSC in the US, while the European versions will record both. -
