I can't seem to flash my Pioneer 106 to the latest 108 FW. I flashed my drive to a hacked 107 firmware a few months ago. Do you guys think this is the problem.
If so, where can I get software to rollback the firmware to 106 and flash it to the 108 FW.
Here's the message prompt:
"The firmware of target drive is not correct F/W.
The firmware is not supported by this program."

Pioneer's flashing program (UPGDVD.exe) can see that your drive is using a hacked firmware, and thus it refuses to flash. If you want to flash your drive you must use the third party flash tool DVRFlash which you can find in various places including http://pioneerdvd.rpc1.org or the Pre Release of version 2.0 for Windows here.

You shouldn't flash your drive with firmware designed for a different model... you're asking to kill it permanently.
The 106 and 108 will probably have different internals - stick with the latest version of firmware for the drive you've got (and be aware that you've invalidated any warranty you may have had left). -
I assume that he means firmware version 1.08 and 1.07 for the DVR-106D, not firmwares for the DVR-107D or DVR-108.
