i was only getting sound out of one of my speakers, so i thought well they are nearly 10 years old they've had a good innings.
so i went out and bought ozaki speakers, plugged them in and exactly same problem! hmmm i thought must be sound card, but then thought might be bloody xp messing it up and sure enough it was, it had messed up balance. thanks bill gates u cost me £45!
but my son is quiet happy he has old speakers and they're working fine.
are ozaki speakers any good? what's this sub woofer thing?
also can someone help? my bloody screen seems to be kind of wobbling, u know shimmering, i've checked leads and they seem ok, don't tell me i need a monitor too!![]()

Sounds like the problem in this case resided betwixt the keyboard and the chair
At least you found and fixed the problem.
Try bumping up your vertical refresh rate in the graphics advanced settings. Try to keep it above 75 Hz. -
read up about jittering and found the problem, it's my new f*ckin speakers!!
now i'm wondering if i should give my son new speakers and take old ones back!
what good are speakers if u can't have them beside monitor?
is there something i can do apart from place them away from monitor? -

if i uncheck the "hide modes that this monitor cannot display" it offers higher refresh rates.
how risky would it be to bump it up to 100 Hertz? not that i need to i'm just curious. -
Don't at the very least it will shorten the life of the monitor. Worst case is the monitor will start smoking catch on fire and burn your house down
Besides you won't see much of a difference if any.
