  1. Hi there,
I have a ripped DVD on my hard drive and explored this and other sites and was mostly recommended to DVDx software. I downloaded 2.2 version and followed the instructions from a site.
I was told to open the DVD route and then choose the title with the longest time as this would be the main part of the film. I did so and continued to convert it to an MPEG. It finished converting ok (it even split my DVD into 2 parts so I can put it on a VCD) but the last 30mins of the film have not been put in the MPEG file but appear in DVDx when played from the original DVD file.
Any ideas why? Is it something to do with splitting it? Maybe if I didn't split it within DVDx and then edited the video later in TMPGenc myself?
    Any help is much appreciated!

This will probably be the best advice I can give, but only if you have the money. It's been over a year since I've used DVDx and the memory brings back painful memories of having my computer work strenuously for 14 hours or more converting to mpeg to make a poor quality VCD. Do yourself a favor and buy a DVD burner. I've seen 'em for about 60 bucks nowadays. You'll be making copies of DVDs in under an hour with DVD quality. So ditch that DVDx and head to the store. I apologize if this offends anyone but it really is the best advice you'll get. You'll thank me later. Sorry if this didn't answer your question.

    chromeman,

In the Output Settings menu, did you remember to click in the Whole button, so that all frames were selected?

  5. Timster, just saw your reply, I'm a poor person so will probably have to stick with DVDx for a while, thanks for the reply though!

I have a burner but I still like DVDx. I used to make divx with no hassles in 2-3 hours!
