  1. I have a frame quality problem when recording TV. When viewing live TV is OK and the quality is excellent, but when recording the picture(MPEG-2 or MPEG-1) have many blank/white lines each 2-3 seconds.
    Pentium 866Mhz,
    ASUS motherboard,
    build-in 3D (Trident Video AcceleratorBlade 3D/ProMedia),
    128 SDRAM,
Kworld TV card with Conexant chipset Fusion 878A, Philip Tuner,

I had tried to adjust the settings many times.(e.g reduce or increase the bitrate, frame rate, reconect TVcard, reinstall driver), but still the same.
I observed the CPU usage only 25%, increase or decrease the % also same(got blank/white lines)

    My opinion:
    1) I don't know izit the pentium4 will play the TVcard with better quality?
    2) or increase SDRAM ?
    3) or change the motherboard?
    4) or install special quality software/video codec?
    5) or change my tvcard?
    6) or change my 3D card?

email me johnforpalm@yahoo.com ,if u are TV tuner card lover

    Thanks to all TVtunercard lover!!

Maybe your recorded video is Interlaced?
    You do mean 'lines' right?
When a video interlaced, 'interlace lines' will appear, most noticably in fast action scenes.

  3. yes, vertical white/blank lines occured...but not horizontal. So, I'm thinking hardware or software problem?.....How the ViewCam or Analog Camcorder tape tranfer to PC? They also use video capture card to connect to PC, right? How somebody can make very good movie/show without this white/blank lines(somebody called this "jerk&quotduring recording to hard disc.

    Any idea are welcome!!
