I guess my Subject heading says it all!
But thanks to all responses.
I just got my 108 today. Read somewhere that says Ritek 8x will on this 108 at 16x with the new firmware.
Is that true?
THANKS...

I have a Plextor 12X that will burn Maxell and Verbatim 8X at 12X. Realize it's not your Pioneer but it might be a starting point for experimentation.

I was hoping for Ritek, Prodisc, or OptoDisc which is much cheaper than the brandname Maxell or Verbatim.
Anyone??? -
Ritek GO5 will burn at 12X and save you about 10 secs over 8X......
There is a list of media brands and the speeds they will burn on the pioneer site somewhere around where the firmware upgrades are...

Personally the time saved doesn't justify the extra media cost....Not bothered by small problems...

The Prodisc 8X will burn at 12X. I have a 108 1.10 and they burn beautifully.

I use Ritek G05 8X DVD-R's, they record at 12X on my Pioneer 108 1.10 firmware. I use the printable media, they work great - no problems.

Me again.
Forgot to mention that these prodisc +R 8x were burned with P108 1.14 -
Always use -r's myself as its what my player likes....
Just spits +r's out like a bad taste in your mouth....
