Much mystery has surrounded the appearance of one William Hayburn to our forums. Mods have confirmed that it is the alter ego of one of our regulars, and that the user appears in this month's top 50 posters and this week's top 50 posters lists. Who ?
EDIT: Mods have confirmed that the perp is in the poll list.
In order to give some understanding of how this list was generated, I took this month's top 50 posters and this week's top 50 posters lists and matched names. I then excluded all mods and anyone who has ruled themselves out of contention.
I then exercised my judgement to rule out the following people (reason):
yoda313 (too nice)
lordsmurf (too serious)
mats.hogberg (too serious)
budz (a guess)
johns0 (not his style)
888888 (not his style)
gshelley61 (not his style)
SaSi (too serious)
Dr.Gee (not his style)
SIRCOOKS (a guess)
Devanshu (a guess)
JohnnyCNote (not his style)
chas0039 (a guess)
andkiich (not his style)
and ended up with the candidates you see above.

Yea, not much to go on...but I'd first suspect curryman based on stuff he and Will did to each other here in the past.

Me and tgpo have similiar characters at times but the similarities between me and curry were startling.

It's long overdue, but here is my critique on the candidates (special thanks to Capmaster for a few timely edits
):
gitreel - been copping it from all angles since the now infamous post whoring expedition of sept 1 & 2. Many condemning comments particularly from will. A good chance.
thecoalman - a very recent addition to the regular crew here. Probably still learning the intricacies of all the members so not enough experience to impersonate. Maybe next time.
ViRaLi - Quick wit. Can mix it up. Good sense of humor too. May just be having a good laugh over this. Definite possibility here.
Doramius - A wicked sense of humour here. Much of his good work around the forums often goes unnoticed. A dark horse and would not surprise if successful.
northcat_8 - a psychodelic, math-teaching, protractor-wielding mofo if ever there was. Nothing would surprise me with this cat. Go close.
Tommyknocker - a veteran of the site. possibly looking for ways to reinvigorate his time at the forum. A distinct possibility.
Conquest10 - As smug as they come. Another veteran, and he knows the others well enough to impersonate anyone here. A likely candidate.
makntraks - many, many well-publicised slanging matches with will in the past. The perfect motive. Don't know whether he has the heart though. Each way.
CoasterCreator - Not shy at all. Another member learning the ropes at Videohelp.com. That said, I wouldn't put it past him either. A Dark horse.
guns1inger - Very watchful, yet knowledgable member of the crew. Doesn't post often, but generally posts quality. The smiling assassin of the group. Watch very closely.
flaninacupboard - who better to punk than your fellow countryman ? The pommie connection may well be at play here. An outside chance.
Hardcoreruss - as above.
curryman - Was once accused of actually being Will Hay. Created a thread entitled "Who is he" which was all about William Hayburn in a possible attention diversion attempt. Almost unbackable at this stage.
