  1. Ok I have 2 dvd's one 4.10 gb the other 1.1 gb, what I want to do it have them both mixed onto one dvdr. .. but keep the menus intact. So could it possible to have a screen come on that allows you to chose which one you want to watch and then you get the full dvd with menus and everything.... sort of like different profiles on windows when you put the discs in you get ''A'' or ''B'' then after chosing you get the full dvd with menus and everything

Hope I explained that in the simplest way. and before you say it I know it will be bigger than 4.35gb but I'll just run it thru dvd shrink afterwards
DVD region settings are a joke, I can't believe how stupid people are falling for it

I don't have a technical answer, but this question gets asked at least once a week. Do a search and I'm sure you'll find your solution. I believe this is also a guide, so check there as well. Include Remake in the search criteria.

TMPGEnc DVD Author. That will do it.

    1. ADD DVD Video ( first film)
    2. create chapters for that film.
    3. Click 'Add new track' on the right. Then add 2nd film.
    4. create chapters again.
    5. Go to 'Menu'. Create a menu which will show both films at start up.
    6. Make sure 'Firstplay action' is ' Display main Menu'. Otherwise you will get the menu at the END of the film.
    7. Go to output and then burn.
    8. If files is greater than a DVD5, then click 'ignore'. Then use DVDShrink and then burn.

Done this many a time and works fine. Be careful when trying to get 2 full-length films on one dvd though-the 2nd film will usually suffer in quality.

Provided they are all in the same VIDEO_TS folder, it should be OK. The menu that TMPGEnc DVD Author creates is only a 'superficial'/navigational one. You could simply have 'Track 1' and 'Track 2' and then when you click on whichever film/track, you then go into the original menu, film etc. thus keeping them intact because TMPGEnc will read the chapter information etc. when it loads it.

I did that with Kill Bill Vol.1 and Kill Bill Vol.2. They were however, FULL back-ups and not re-authored to just movie only. Vol.2 did get a bit jerky towards the last 10mins though, but considering that both films would be approx. 15gb before compression and 4hrs, that's to be expected. If i had stripped out menus then they would have been fine.
