hey, i have a question, sometimes ill be on my pc, then after a while, it will just start "skipping" as i call it, at the beginning of each second it freezes, so, for example, i just played a sound file on my pc, and timed it, the file is 37 seconds, but, it took 42 seconds to play, not much of a difference, but still, its really annoying, when im, say, trying to convert a video, this slows down my pc, and id have to restart my pc, and start converting again. can someone please help me with this. also, its not something that will just go on for a little bit, it will keep going on until the computer is turned off or restarted. thanks

  2. you said re-start, and then it happens again? how long until the problem occurs? have you looked to see what is running when the issue starts?

you could start by running a virus scan, and looking for spy/ad wares and eliminating those is present. checking your hard drives for errors, and defrag.

just my thoughts on where to start without knowing more.

  4. i would do the things i suggested, and try and pay attention to when it does occur. take note of programs running, and see if you notice a common thread to the behavior.
