    I got this avi and the codec used is FourCC [XVID] Xvid MPEG-4 codec. The problem is virtualdub can't open that file. I tried changing the fourcc changer but that didn't work. I also tried using VirtualDubMod but that seems to crash when i try to encode. is there anyway to convert it to avi?

    Download and install the xvid codec.

    How do you know the 4cc code, what program is telling you this?

    What error does vdub give when trying to open the file?
