R200 Printer Questions

Hello,

I am planning on buying this printer within the next few days... I have found them on ebay for 50 with no ink... What ink do I need? Which ones exactly? I know its different than my Lexmark! I also some some others that are 80 with ink... but shipping is 20... Which one? Do you know of another deal somwhere? LMK an help would be great! thanks

Just buy it retail at Best Buy or CompUSA for 90 bucks and you'll get a full compliment of ink. The ink of this printer is about $70 (all 6 cartridges)for the Epson or about $30 for the generic. After shipping and ink teh ebay route will be more expensive...

Dont have either of those stores... Only one I found at my stores is the R300... Too much MOney!

If you have an Office Depot, Office Max, or Staples near you, they can order the item for you.

Or order it from www.officedepot.com and get free shipping for orders over $50, or even straight from Epson themselves.

Buying a printer with out ink for $50 from ebay, then buying the ink from a store, will cost you more than a new R200, even if you opt for generic ink. You didn't mention if these ebay printers are new, referbs, or used. Also think about the software, manual, and disc tray that is included with the new printers.

Also warranty.

2 of my Epson R200's bit the dust (again) 3 weeks ago. I called epson, and they UPS'd me 2 new units with new ink carts along with a return shipping label. It took 5 days from the time I placed the call for warranty service. Best warranty service I've recieved on a printer. Made me think twice about all the bad comments I've made about Epson in the past

LOL, I bought another r200 at Office Depot when they had the $50.00 rebate. I got it just for the ink. Some guy on here was going to buy the printer thats been sitting in my room for 2 months but nothing yet from him. Yeah, the ink is as expensive as the printer.
