Hi
If I want to use a video file at a bitrate of about 1000-1500kbps
what format you would recommand using if I want to burn that on a DVDR and play it on a dvd player ?

Agreed.
You can exceed the VCD 1150 kbps standard and go all the way up to 1856 kbps.
352x240, 48 kHz audio AC-3 or PCM WAV. -
what software does burn a DVD with that resolution? i tried DVDit and it says i cant use that reolution...

someone say with that resolution i can put a lot video inna dvd, but, as dvd or cdvd?

If your dvd authoring program won't accept 352,240 then it is a lousy program. Scream at tech suport to fix this or buy new software or use free software for the task.

Also note if your low bitrate video is 23.976 fps you will need to use mpeg2 and add pulldown to it. (Can't add pulldown to mpeg1)
