hi guys

this player wont play dvd+r, so it needs a firmware upgrade,

ive been to the yamada website: http://www.yamada.de/FWupdate/FWsearch.htm

but it doesnt list the 2100 model, so i did a quick google search and downloaded a zip file, named dvdplus_yamada.zip.

when extracted it shows 3 .bin files:

UDVD2100.BIN
UDVD2000.BIN
FDVD2100.BIN

now which one do i burn to disk?

the readme.txt says:

Please write the extracted bin file on a CD-R ( ISO 9660 / ISO Mode 1 / ISO Level 1 / no Joilet / no Multisession ) and name the CD "MEDIATEK".
Insert the CD-R in your DVD-Player and follow the instructions on screen ( press play to start upgrade )!
The player will first read the firmware file and then eject the CD-R. Remove the CD from the tray.
The upgrade process will take up to 3 minutes, please wait until the player will restart or the screen become black (power on/off the player).
Check the setup of the player.
so it must be just the one .bin file i need to burn yeh?
