I know there are much more expensive hub printables out there like verbatims and such, but does anyone know of any inkjet printables to the hub that are around the same cost as the ProDisc sets ive seen?

Looking at +R print to the hub 8x(pref) or 4x at about 50cents per disc give or take. Seems prodisc is the only game in town.

  4. I've been trying to hold out going to the "Box" as long as possible, for I just know I'll have to move in.

Seriously, I have to wonder how bad the traffick's going to get this Xmas around there. It was already bad enough.

The link is for my band when I was in San Francisco. I uploaded some songs to Download.com. The first one made "Editor's Pick" and has nearly 700 downloads already.

    Check 'em out....

Ive gotta find some dvd's though or I'll end up buying some more pro discs. Not that they are bad, I just like having options.

  6. Wow jaxxboss I was going to ask the same question the other day. I'm also looking for an alternative to Prodisc. To me they don't look as good as Optodisc (the only other printables I've tried).

Hey dmagic1. whats going on, Ive been following ur posts over on the BenQ thread.... still waiting for that DL for the upgraded 800

Yeah, I was looking at optodisc but it isnt printable to the hub. there is also these: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0002PS546/ref=pd_ecc_rvi_1/104-5986992-5461533

not sure about the hub. Amazon says they are due in soon, I dunno.

  8. I have some of those. They are Optodisc and don't have printable hubs either.

What do you mean waiting for DL for the 800. Some have already upgraded to 830 from 800 and got mixed results with DL.

Try BeAll at Meritline. As far as I know, they only come in 4x. I was thinking of switching to them myself, so let me know what you think.

I can't tell if they are printable all the way to the center hole, or if they stop 1/8 of an inch away, like the prodisc.

Actually I wouldnt care much if they were 1/8 ' away from the hole, thats close enough for me. Im not sure either if its printable to the hub though. it doesnt say it where as all the others DO say it... so Im skeptical

It's in the "Hub Printable" section on Meritline so it better be, or I would complain. The picture seems to confirm this. Click Here.

There was another thread in which someone saying that they were better than prodisc. I'm too lazy to search for it though. I think they also claimed that it was printable all the way to the center hole, but it doesn't look like it in the picture.

I will buy them next, but I still have a couple hundred prodisc to burn through.

the beall discs from Meritline do print all the way to the center. They
are rated 4X but my Plextor 708a burns them 8X with no problems

Ahh, that's some good info. how would you compare them to prodisc - both burn and print quality?

I have never used Prodisc, so I can't really answer your question, but I can say that I never had a coaster(only burned 40-50 so far) and am very
    satisfied with the print quality

About 10 months ago or so I was buying thr Memorex 4x +R printables off of amazon for around $99.00 per 100 --yeah I know, dont laugh. Anyways.. Each month they were getting cheaper, which was good coz i liked these disc. They were ricoh's and printed and burned great. I bought the same pack at compusa one time because I had a giftcert about to expire and had to use it. Anyway,. I bought the exact same memorex 4x +R 100 pack. Opened em up and the disc was different in that it looked like it was printable all the way to the hole( or hub). The ones I got at amazon wernt. Anyway, i dvdinfo'ed them and they were cmc fags, err mags.

Hub printable but cmc,oh well , thats a trade off, but to make a short story long you can get those memorex inkjet printables and I believe they will be hub printables at compusa and officemax carry them, kinda expensive though.

I haven't used prodisc but have used the bealls...no coasters, but have had problems burning all the way to the edge..can't say exactly where, but when I have troubles w/ them, that's why...may have gotten them from cdrom2go or maybe meritline (wouldn't buy there again) .. don't think rima has them...I like them & they print great but b/c of the trouble I have every now and then burning to the edge, I try not to use them for other people's stuff ... I think when they first came out they were supposed to be good but maybe my batch was when they started to change (about a half year ago)...if you got them from a reputable place, maybe they could be trusted...I trust the TY's 100% (but no hub printing) and these are ok behind those...anyway, I hope this helps a little...

[edit:] just re-read the topic..by the way, my experience is w/ the -Rs
