Maybe iTunes or QuickTime Pro. It just depends on the AAC: is it raw a raw .aac or is it .m4a or .mp4?

dBPowerAmp will convert from .aac to .wav, plus a lot more than just converting

    http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm

    http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-mp4.htm

This is where you will find the plug-ins needs to convert .aac or .mp4 to whatever output format you wish, just add the plug-in. Conversion to WAV is built-in

I use it for conversion of audio file formats, and its updated fairly frequently, with new/updated plug-ins

Its free for conversion, but if you want the DSP effects, then you have to pay, but thats an add-on anyway and not essential

Its fast, its free, and it supports loads of audio formats and also MP3 players

  4. aacDecDrop was created to do only that. Very simple to use.
    http://pessoal.onda.com.br/rjamorim/aacdecdrop.zip

Its based on FAAD2 so it should even decode Nero's HE-AAC.

You need this library file to make it work correctly.
    http://www.rarewares.org/files/libmmd7.zip

just unzip into the same directory as aacDecDrop...
