    it's http and 1GB. No pop3, and yes it's friggin awesome... Nothing beats labels and the search is great.

    As far as I see it, there's no particular reason NOT to have another spare e-mail account up your sleeve and there are various gmail-to-pop3 programs around that will allow you to check your gmail through a mail client.

    haha vitualis, Im sure there are http2pop proggies for gmail as well as there already are for hotmail, yahoo etc etc
    I just need real pure pop3 acct for my cellphone (already found one - hotpop.com) I dont think are there any J2ME midlets doing http>pop tricks on the cellphones

    I have nothing against gmail, I just read about it and it looks fantastic (2GB of space -just W O W ), I just dont need it.

    I get 2GB and pop with my ISP, so I guess I don't have much of a need. I wanted one when they first started but couldn't get one. Then my ISP went from 25MB to 2GB. Gotta love that.

    I got a gmail invite from a user here who I helped out with a hidden fdisk command for a reset of his HD MBR. He was so grateful tht he could use his HD again he sent me one two days ago.

    It looks pretty cool, and you gotta love the 1GB file storage.
